Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently looking for a confident and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations.
• Develop detailed design specifications, drawings, and calculations,
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs.
• Conduct system analyses and simulations to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers and design team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
• Review and approve design documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance service offerings.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Building Services or a related field; Chartered Engineer status would be great but not needed,
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design within the building services sector.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant engineering calculation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions and sustainability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and project teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and sustainability certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).
