Site Reliability Engineer, Home Based £ 75000 - 80000 + benefits. Ideally knowledge of New Relic and AWS - however similar technologies considered. Development background required.

Market leading software product company have recently set up a new SRE team and are looking for the fourth team member to join them. Joining at this early stage you will work closely with the Lead SRE to implement best practises for monitoring, alerting and incident response. Moreover you will use your proven SRE and automation skills to ensure a reliable, scaleable and performant system. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company and be involved in a range of challenging and demanding projects.

Primary responsibilities include -

* Implement best practise for monitoring, alerting and incident response.
* Design, build and maintain cost-effective, reliable and scaleable AWS infrastructure.
* Work across the business to address performance bottlenecks and reliability issues.
* Conduct post incident reviews.
* Automate routine tasks and processes.

To be considered you will have the following skills and experience -

* Excellent knowledge of a monitoring tool such as New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.
* Expertise is setting up and managing alerts, dashboards and logging using CloudWatch.
* Excellent understanding of AWS or Azure.
* Experience of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker or ECS.
* Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
* Strong scripting using Python, Bash or Powershell.
* Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

You will have also come from a Software Engineering background (C# preferred) before moving into Site Reliability.
