An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and talented Structural Engineer to join a employee owned, award-winning consultancy in their Birmingham office. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects across sectors such as education, residential, healthcare, and hospitality and more.
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and analysis of building structures, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with all relevant regulations. You'll be joining a dynamic team and have the opportunity to work on some truly impactful projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for building projects, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures
- Develop detailed design drawings and calculations, ensuring safety, feasibility, and efficiency
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality results
- Conduct site visits to assess the structural progress and ensure adherence to design specifications
Requirements
- BEng/MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 3-5 years' worth of design experience
- Experience working towards British standards on Eurocodes
- Experience working with all major materials including concrete, steel, masonry and timber
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
