We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at a bustling used car dealership. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for automotive work and possesses a strong ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of used vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and expertise.
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other key components.
- Ensure all vehicles are in excellent condition and meet safety standards before being listed for sale.
- Communicate effectively with the sales team and management about vehicle statuses and necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Run full MOT Tests and deliver excellent customer service.
- Proven experience as a Mechanic in a professional setting.
- Strong understanding of automotive technology and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- NVQ Level 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Full MOT Testing QualificationÂ
