On Offer:

  • Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)

Overtime When Available:

  • Saturday – First 4 hours’ time & a half – after 4 hours double time

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Plant Machinery Auto Electrician with specialized expertise in Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Human Form Recognition (HFR) systems to join our team in the UK construction industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced electro-mechanical equipment across our fleet of plant machinery. This position demands a strong technical background in fault-finding and problem-solving, coupled with the ability to work proficiently with cutting-edge technologies to ensure optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair GPS and HFR systems within heavy plant machinery to guarantee functionality and precision.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical and electronic systems to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain and calibrate sophisticated GPS and HFR equipment to ensure accuracy in operation.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to streamline equipment integration and enhance system performance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring that all systems operate in compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GPS, HFR, and other relevant technologies to apply innovative solutions effectively.
  • Create and maintain detailed service logs and technical reports for all work undertaken.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Machinery Auto Electrician with a specialization in GPS and HFR systems.
  • Strong technical proficiency in fault diagnosis and problem-solving for advanced electro-mechanical systems.
  • Solid understanding of heavy plant machinery commonly used in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with high-precision technologies such as GPS navigation and HFR systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate within a team and interact with clients as needed.
  • Full UK driving license (if applicable).

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior exposure to UK construction industry standards and practices.
  • Experience working with additional advanced technologies related to heavy plant machinery.
