About the Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced Engineer who has experience working with permanent traffic signals in the UK. The role will report into a Technical Manager and will share responsibilities with other colleagues, working in a small team as part of a wider, UK wide, team structure.

The postholder will be working primarily with our 'Urban64' product, which is fundamentally similar in nature to permanent signals, but installed temporarily, throughout the UK.

Key Accountabilities

  • Travel to sites across the UK to carry out inspections, surveys, SAT's, validations, and meetings with customers. Overnight stays likely.
  • Technical support, including remotely diagnosing faults, inspecting radars, controllers and other equipment.
  • Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Updating Microsoft Teams documents.
  • Liaising with customers. Communicating with customers.

Key Skills

Essential:

  • Understanding of traffic signal design fundamentals and UK standards
  • Familiarity with signal layout drawings
  • Experience with UTC
  • Experience of Site Acceptance Testing
  • MCH / TR2500 specification reading and understanding
  • Repairs and maintenance of traffic signal equipment
  • Fault finding and diagnostics

Desirable:

  • MOVA experience
  • Controller configuration experience
