National Account Manager - Automotive

The Candidate:

This would suit a candidate with an account management backgrounds within the automotive manufacturing / engineering or parts related industries. You will be Responsible for developing and sustaining strong and long-lasting relationships with UK & Eire Factor customers and their requirement and for the coaching and mentoring junior members of the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Generate factor sales predominantly in the UK in line with the aims and objectives of the company’s business plan.
  • Ensure successful and timely delivery of products/services to customers according to their requirements.
  • Identify factor opportunities primarily in the UK and incorporate into the growth and development.
  • Manage customer enquiries/complaints and conflicts efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare reports of sales metrics over a specified period of time - monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
  • Write proposals and business plans for securing factor business opportunities predominantly in the UK.
  • Create and develop new factor business opportunities within the UK.
  • Develop factor strategies for UK profit growth.
  • Negotiate factor business opportunities and contracts with new UK customers.
  • Assist in developing company’s marketing strategy, and also assist its execution.
  • Hold regular sales development meetings to help progress the offer in line with budget expectations.
  • Provide a consistent approach in all aspects of the role.
  • Ensure the highest levels of professionalism and integrity are employed at all times.
  • Provide open and transparent feedback (internally and externally).

Requirements

  • Several years proven experience in a account manager or similar role
  • Holds or willing to work towards HNC/Degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent
  • Technical awareness
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Proven experience to work as part of a Senior Management team.
  • Knowledge of QHSE Legislation.
  • Excellent detail to methodical problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision

You will have previously worked in positions such as an Major Account Manager, National Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Strategic Account Manager, Account Manager, Sales Executive, Sales Representative, Field Sales Person, Area Sales Manager, Field Sales Representative, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, BDM or related roles.
