With a focus on innovation and excellence, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team.
The Role
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payments, contributing to the overall success of our finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.
- Handle queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders, providing timely resolutions.
- Assist with month-end processes, including accounts reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and update financial systems.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be organized, efficient, and have a keen eye for detail. You will also possess excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with [specific accounting software, e.g., SAP/QuickBooks/Oracle].
- AAT qualification or equivalent (or working towards one).
