About Us: Aspire People is dedicated to supporting schools in providing a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable School Caretaker to join our team in Birmingham.
Role Overview: As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the school's facilities and ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment for all. Your responsibilities will include general maintenance, cleaning, and overseeing the grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to school buildings and equipment.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld in all areas of the school.
Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify any issues.
Manage waste disposal and recycling processes.
Ensure the security of the school premises, including locking and unlocking buildings as required.
Assist in setting up for school events and activities.
Collaborate with school staff to meet their facility needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role, ideally within a school setting.
Strong practical skills and a good understanding of maintenance and repair work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
Enhanced DBS check will be required.
