We are currently seeking a School Caretaker to join our team in a Secondary School based in Aston starting in January 2025. This position offers various shift patterns to accommodate both part-time and full-time availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Carry out regular inspections of the building and grounds, addressing any issues promptly.
Oversee the security of the premises, including locking and unlocking facilities as needed.
Assist with setup and breakdown for school events and activities.
Manage minor repairs and maintenance tasks, reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain outdoor areas, including gardening and general upkeep of playgrounds and fields.
Support the school's health and safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably within a school environment.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to perform manual tasks and operate cleaning and maintenance equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks.
