School Caretaker/Site Assistant to work within a school in Birmingham, required immediately.
As a site assistant you will be responsible for:
- unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments
- Keeping the school grounds maintained and tidied
- General maintenance, DIY - fixing and put furniture together, painting
- assisting with any school deliveries
- overlooking the schools health and safety. Carrying out fire drills/test.
- Checking fire extinguishers and other health and safety aspects of the schools
- Liaising with contractors and escorting them around site
- Setting up classrooms and halls for assemblies and parents' evenings
- Gardening and outdoor site maintenance - lawn mowing, using a strimmer, weeding, litter picking
Hours: Monday to friday - 8am-4pm
Pay: £12.50 per hour
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
MUST HAVE ENHANCED DBS
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK FULL TIME, POTENTIALLY EARLY MORNINGS/LATE EVENINGS, AND SPLIT SHIFTS.
