Building Physics Engineer

Salary: 40,000 - 45,000

We are seeking a Building Physics Engineer to join a specialist team in Birmingham. You'll be using Integrated Environmental Solutions and focussing on building performance analysis to contribute to a range of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, logistic, retail and residential projects.

Requirements to be considered for this Building Physics Consultant role:

  • Experience using Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES VE) building simulation software.
  • Have demonstratable building physics experience.
  • A degree in building physics, environmental engineering or a similar relevant subject.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations, energy codes and planning requirements.
  • (Ideally) IES Accreditation and/or OCDEA/LCC/LCEA qualifications.
  • Live in or committable to Birmingham.

The key responsibilities of this Building Physics Engineer role include:

  • Carrying out building performance analysis in relation to sustainability, energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
  • Using IES VE software to assess environmental impacts and model building physics.
  • Contributing to business development and liaising with clients.
  • Contribute to development of sustainable design strategies./
  • Support teams to achieve building certifications and energy efficient targets.
