My client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their dynamic IT team, where you will lead a group of business analysts and ensure all change initiatives align with the strategic objectives of our corporate business unit. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in navigating complex project landscapes.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Act as the strategic interface between IT and assigned business units/functions to stimulate and shape new demand, ensuring value from investments is captured and optimised.
  • Lead the IT Business Analysis function, maintaining high standards and processes while delivering high levels of customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide a team of business analysts, providing leadership and development opportunities.
  • Manage vendor assessments, selection processes, and early lifecycle stages of change initiatives.
  • Conduct strategic analysis to capture needs, challenges, and opportunities, translating these into actionable plans.
  • Design and facilitate workshops to model business processes and information flows, creating both current and future state diagrams.
  • Identify and manage the delivery of quick wins and business enhancements through continuous impact analysis.
  • Ensure integration of business strategies with technology initiatives during corporate planning activities with business units/functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in structured business analysis techniques and methods, including process mapping using tools like Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven experience in change management and business impact analysis.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and capable of handling complexity to solve business challenges with technology solutions.
  • Experience in managing and influencing senior business stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with project methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, PMI, APMP, or Agile.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.
  • ISEB Business Analysis Diploma, BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Recognised project management qualification is advantageous.
