Non-departmental government body with a global remit and a commercial agenda within the travel and tourism sector seeks a new team member tasked with informing industry with  research and insights, and engagement activities through events and communications. This role sits within the Research team, reporting to the Head of Forecasting and Intelligence. The Global Market Intelligence Manager will lead on providing data and intelligence, working closely with colleagues in overseas networks to deliver essential insights needed to understand its international markets and make evidence-based decisions. The Global Market Intelligence Manager will play a critical role providing the insights that they need for strategic planning, and providing insights across marketing, comms, political engagement and more.

You will lead on insight needs for the international division – from in-depth strategic planning to quick ad hoc requests. Communicate insights in a structured way on a regular basis to overseas networks and partners and proactively ensure that data and insight delivery concentrate on must-haves required for decision making.

We seek an experienced market intelligence professional with a background in using primary and secondary data sources, interactive data tools, infographics and data delivery in key areas such as market performance, macro trends and consumer insights. Tasks include analysing and delivering market data, overseeing an insights executive, investigating and delivering new forms of concise data and insights delivery, integrating new and existing data sources. With regards ad hoc research and data sources, you will deliver bespoke market research projects and external data sources, lead on commissioning projects and data sources. Longer term you will devise a market insights strategy and implement it with the assistance of the Market Intelligence Executive.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key as you will focus on creating a clear and concise story from data. Experience with travel and tourism or related data is highly advantageous.
