- Handle customer quotation requests received via email, online portals, and other methods.
- Manage ocean freight operations for imports, exports, and cross trade.
- Negotiate with carriers, hauliers, and suppliers to ensure availability and cost-effective pricing.
- Prepare and submit customer quotations within agreed timeframes.
- Utilize in-house systems to create and issue quotes.
- Communicate with customers to track and follow up on quotes, adjust pricing, and secure opportunities.
- Monitor the success and failure rates of quotes, providing reports to management.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service.
- Develop strategic tariffs and ensure they remain relevant and up-to-date.
- Monitor carrier websites and notifications for industry updates.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless handover of secured shipments.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
