Senior Business Intelligence Analyst / Engineer
We are looking for a talented Senior BI Analyst/Engineer to join one of our interesting clients based in the West Midlands. This role is pivotal in developing and delivering advanced data solutions that drive business decisions. You will be responsible for creating insightful Power BI reports and dashboards, analysing complex data, managing ETL processes to ensure data integrity and collaborate with various teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build custom Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Optimize reports for performance and scalability, updating them based on feedback and evolving requirements.
- Analyse business data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
- Deliver clear and concise data analysis that can be easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with technical teams and collaborate with data engineers and architects to build scalable data models.
- Provide support and guidance to customers on using reports and dashboards.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure reporting solutions align with their goals.
- Lead discussions with internal teams to translate customer requirements into actionable reporting solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on effective data visualization techniques to meet their objectives.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial BI Analyst role
- Expert in Power BI
- Experience in data analysis and identifying growth opportunities.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration processes.
- Strong understanding of business processes and KPIs.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL or other query languages.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with embedded analytics solutions like Power BI Embedded.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Databricks.
