Your new companyAt Hays, we are working with a vibrant and dynamic primary school in South Birmingham, committed to providing an excellent education and nurturing environment for students. They are looking for a dedicated and experienced Business Manager to join their team and help achieve their goals. This role is set to start in January 2025 for the duration of a term, maybe longer.

Your new roleAs the Primary School Business Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management, human resources and premises management of the school. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Finance: Managing the school's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources, preparing financial reports and liaising with external auditors.
  • HR: Overseeing staff recruitment, managing employee records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and supporting staff development.
  • Premises: Ensuring the school premises are well-maintained, managing health and safety protocols and coordinating with contractors for repairs and improvements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in financial management, HR and premises management, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of our school.

We will require two satisfactory references.
