Business Manager - £350 to £400 PD - Inside IR 35Our trusted partner, a multi-million-pound corporation backed by the central government, seeks a Business Manager with strong experience in budget forecasting, stakeholder engagement, and technical service delivery across business units, including Finance, HR, IT, and Contracts. Our client is seeking an interim for an initial 3-month project (with scope to extend) to join their team in Birmingham, paying up to £400 per day Inside IR35 to be based on site 2 PW.To be successful in this project, you will need experience working within a large and complex organisation, preferably within the construction, rail, or government sectors. You must possess skills in financial forecasting, resource management, and cost control processes, as well as intermediate skills in Excel/Power BI for visualization. Core responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Directorate to develop and collate the Directorate plan, based on leadership established strategic priorities, supporting the monitoring and tracking of Directorate performance from a financial, project and people perspective.
  • Supporting the Directorate and other support functions to track progress and report against various metrics, i.e. business plan.
  • Supporting the Directorate to manage governance processes, meeting minutes and actions, providing updates and milestone tracking against any actions that fall outside of corporate governance process.
  • Supporting HR with monitoring progress against workforce plan, including managing input to the RAP process on behalf of the Director (Noting that the responsibility for submitting requests into the RAP process still sits with the Line Manager).
Core experience:
  • Understanding of project and program management techniques and processes is a must-have.
  • Experience in budget forecasting for future recruitment is a must-have.
  • Knowledge of reporting techniques to effectively report on Directorate performance against KPIs is a must-have.
  • Knowledge of business processes and how to formulate a RAP process is a must-have.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Lean management techniques is nice to have.
  • Knowledge of P6, MS Office project management software, and Excel at the intermediate level is a must-have.
  • Knowledge of effective governance frameworks and dimensions, preferably in a government or corporate organisation is a nice to have.
  • Knowledge of tracking key performance indicators and service level agreements is a nice to have.
