Our client, a leading Housing Association, has a superb opportunity for a Concierge working within a Retirement Living development in Erdington. They are seeking someone with good customer care skills to provide a focused management service to residents living in an Over 55's Housing scheme.

The work pattern is 32 hours a week that can be worked within 4 or 5 days.

Key responsibilities;

  • To be a key-holder for the building and ensure security of the communal areas and facilities
  • To be the first point of contact and manage access to the building for residents, contractors and visitors
  • Carry out regular inspections of the building to identify and resolve repair, maintenance and security issues
  • Monitor and facilitate resolution of complaints relating to communal areas and facilities
  • Meet contractors on site and facilitate access to communal areas to carry out repairs and planned maintenance.
  • Manage and monitor the laundry facilities & communal areas
  • Monitor cleaning staff to ensure the property conditions are maintained and provide a welcoming environment
  • Raise repairs, facilitate access and guidance to the affected areas for contractors
  • Complete water testing in communal areas
  • Carry out testing of communal emergency lighting and firefighting equipment.
  • Ensure that all actions identified in the fire risk assessment for the service are completed.
  • Carry out health and safety inspections of the building and record the outcomes in line with service standards
  • Monitoring accidents, incidents and near misses in line with the health and safety procedures
