Venn Group are seeking an experienced FM Professional required to undertake a full audit of existing facilities/maintenance functions and to make recommendations on the Net Zero journey (including Scope 1-3), circular economy and related digital tools to track progress for a Birmingham based organisation.

This Birmingham based Charitable Operation continues to evolve and caters for a diverse population of visitor’s, staff, partners and suppliers. It provides a wide range of services from visitor attraction experience to teaching and research, through to revenue-generating corporate event space.

This new role will review and advise on the facilities functions across the site to enhance the service and its future development. The project purpose is to provide a safe, secure, well maintained, environmentally sustainable and compliant site for visitors, staff volunteers and contractors.

To deliver this, the project will also need to engage and be responsive to external stakeholders. This project is key to driving and maintaining the highest standards across the site, whilst efficiently using resources. 

Areas of investigation will include;

  • Annual H&S audit including FRA (Fire Risk Assessment)
  • Current Risk Assessment process
  • Site waste collection and recycling
  • Fuel usage and reduction  – to include mains gas/electricity/biomass/diesel
  • Water usageand conservation
  • IT provisions
  • Cleaning provisions (currently held by outside contractors) to include general waste/recycling/feminine hygiene/cleaning materials
  • Security systems/key holding/call outs and event security staff
  • Pest Management
  • Cyclical repairs and schedules
