Facilities ManagerBirmingham (city centre)£35,000 - £37,000 p/aBell Cornwall Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-known, multi-purpose venue in the heart of Birmingham. They are looking for a Facilities Manager, who will be responsible for the safe, secure, and effective running of the building and tasked with the day-to-day management of customer relations.The Facilities Manager role:There will be a huge focus on relationship building, ensuring that the building is fit for purpose and customer satisfaction is to a high standard. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure tenants comply with their obligations under the terms of their lease, prioritising statutory and mandatory compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all tenant-related activities.
  • Liaison with stakeholders in the development and implementation of the Estates Strategy and Maintenance Master Plan.
  • Participation in the management of the facilities management service contractors in accordance with the provisions of the contracted Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Ensuring that all requisite legal and statutory health and safety and environmental requirements are met.
  • Provide property, H&S and technical advice to the Events team and to the MPT team, including the implementation of infrastructure changes to enable delivery of events.
  • Take ownership of the Business Continuity Strategy to maintain building and business function throughout any crisis or event that has significant impact on building operations and adverse impact on business continuity.

The successful person:

  • Significant experience in a Facilities Manager role with customer relations exposure.
  • Health and Safety NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Exceptional communications skills - both written and oral with the ability to liaise at all levels - including at board level.
  • Experiences and knowledge of maintaining the fabric of buildings, managing compliance, and dealing with commercial leases.
