Facilities Manager (Facilities, Risk and Security)

£35000-£45000 (Neg) + Potential bonus of 30%

Do you have current Facilities Management experience and previous experience of Police/Armed Forces or FM in a highly regulated/highly compliant environment?Our client is seeking an accomplished Facilities Manager who has a "hands on" work ethic. Our client is seeking a Facilities/Security Manager to be pivotal in safeguarding their people, assets, and infrastructure. You will lead the implementation of robust security measures, ensuring their facilities operate seamlessly and securely. Your oversight will extend to coordinating building maintenance, enhancing workplace safety, and fostering an environment where our operational standards excel, contributing to our reputation for reliability and trustworthiness.

You will be responsible for:

Facilities & Risk Management:Ensure the office environment is functioning effectively, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere for the team.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies.Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with facility operations and security, including inventory protection and emergency preparedness.Oversee maintenance schedules for critical equipment and infrastructure, minimising downtime and ensuring operations run smoothly.Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices and emergency protocols.Maintain accurate records of facility inspections, security incidents, maintenance activities, and risk assessments.

Security and OperationalMaintain and enhance security measures to protect staff, assets, and facilities across all locations, including monitoring systems, access controls, and emergency response plans.Manage strategies to prevent loss, including monitoring stock levels, securing storage areas, and implementing theft prevention measures.Investigate and respond to security incidents, thefts, or breaches, liaising with law enforcement as necessary.Identify opportunities to reduce operational expenses without compromising safety or efficiency.

The successful candidateYou will have proven experience in both Facilities and Security and likely to have a background in police or armed/security services. Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and physical security best practices. Personally, you will have exceptional levels of integrity and be comfortable with high levels autonomy in the role. Be highly organised and detail oriented with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, FM qualification would be advantageous
