Your new companyHays Education are currently supporting two schools based in South Birmingham who are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced School Business Manager to join their teams on a temporary, full-time basis. The role will be based between the two schools. The role is to commence ASAP. There is an opportunity for temporary to permanent for the right individual. The role will be Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.Your new role

  • You will have responsibility for the Finance, HR, Estates and H&S operations within the schools.
  • Oversee the financial management of the schools, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage the school's administrative functions, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Lead on procurement and contract management, ensuring value for money and compliance with regulations.
  • Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team with strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manage the school's facilities.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including local authorities, suppliers, and parents

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management, especially EY funding
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
