What You'll Be Doing:
" Champion Birmingham & the West Midlands as a premier conference and events destination.
" Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract international business tourism and major events.
" Lead the Convention Bureau and ensure commercial income targets are achieved.
" Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry leaders, VisitBritain, and key business event organisations.
" Oversee the Convention Bureau and Major Events budget, ensuring maximum impact and ROI.
" Lead a dynamic team, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching and training.
" Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating new technologies to enhance business development and income generation.
" Support and drive high-value bidding processes to secure large-scale events for the region.
" Collaborate with marketing teams to craft compelling campaigns and content that attract event organisers and key stakeholders.

" Proven experience in business tourism, event strategy, or a similar commercial role.
