Our client is looking for a Senior Internal Sales person to join their well-established and expanding team based at their branch in Birmingham.

About the role:

As Senior Internal Sales you will be working in a busy distribution environment, assisting the Branch Manager, and liaising, engaging and communicating with other departments and divisions within the group.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week (8am – 5pm)

Key responsibilities as Senior Internal Sales will include:

  • Processing and raising purchase orders based on customer requests and enquiries.
  • Helping younger staff with product knowledge and decisions
  • Managing Branch when the Manager is off or out.
  • Sourcing prices for products and delivery costs from suppliers.
  • Liaising, engaging and communicating with other departments and divisions with the group.
  • Receiving and processing incoming customer enquiries by phone and email.
  • Using the IT system to accurately identify, source and price items.
  • Recording enquiries, orders, invoices, and other documentation.

Skills we're looking for in Senior Internal Sales:

  • Experience of working in an engineering/sales environment.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Lubricants, Fluid Power, Bearings and Power Transmission would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Customer- focused, driven to provide consistently high levels of service.
  • Good level of communication and numerical skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Willing and able to learn about and support new products.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and have the ability to work to deadlines and targets.
