Senior Data Engineer


Salary: 65,000 - 70,000

Location: Birmingham - Hybrid working

About the Role:

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure technologies.
  • Develop, optimise, and maintain high-performance data warehousing solutions.
  • Implement and enforce best practices to drive quality and efficiency across the team.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of data-driven initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster growth and elevate their technical skill sets.

About You:

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies.
  • Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark.
  • Deep understanding of Kimball dimensional modelling and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Fabric, ADLS2, and Power BI (for data visualisation).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and cloud security best practices
  • Strong hands-on experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes.
  • Solid understanding of security and compliance in cloud-based data solutions, with a focus on Azure environments.
