Senior Data Engineer
Salary: 65,000 - 70,000
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid working
About the Role:
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure technologies.
- Develop, optimise, and maintain high-performance data warehousing solutions.
- Implement and enforce best practices to drive quality and efficiency across the team.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of data-driven initiatives.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster growth and elevate their technical skill sets.
About You:
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies.
- Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark.
- Deep understanding of Kimball dimensional modelling and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Fabric, ADLS2, and Power BI (for data visualisation).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and cloud security best practices
- Strong hands-on experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes.
- Solid understanding of security and compliance in cloud-based data solutions, with a focus on Azure environments.
