This Head of Internal Control role offers the opportunity to shape and lead the company's risk management and compliance framework while ensuring robust internal controls are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an effective internal control framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead the enterprise risk management strategy, identifying key risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Establish and maintain a strong governance culture through effective policies, procedures, and staff training.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior management and the board on risk, compliance, and internal control matters.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparent and proactive engagement.

Key Requirements

  • A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in risk management, compliance, and internal controls within a regulated environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach.
  • Degree in accountancy, economics or business.
