Are you a Class 1 HGV Driver, seeking your next challenge?
Due to expansion, my client is seeking a Class 1 HGV driver to join their team at their Midlands Depot, on a permanent basis.
Working Monday to Friday with some weekend work when required, this role offers an opportunity to join a rapidly growing business and to be part of the ongoing and future success.
Duties:
- Loading, unloading and transporting Construction plant equipment and attachments
- Loading and securing each load in compliance with the required regulation.
- Carrying out and completing delivery and collection checks on each load ensuring all aspects of the load are captured using a tablet based reporting system.
- Daily vehicle checks and inspections on the allocated vehicle reporting any defects to the transport manager immediately ensuring constant compliance in line with regulations and company standards.
- Upkeep, light maintenance and housekeeping of your allocated vehicle.
Requirements:
- A Clean Class 1 licence
- Experience in abnormal loads, loading, securing and transporting of plant equipment
- NPORS or CPCS Loader Securer advantageous
- FORS eLearning modules advantageous
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good initiative.
- Good time management.
- Good organisational skills.
