Exciting Opportunity: Gas AssessorSalary: Hourly rate can be negotiable depending on experience   Role Type: Temporary  Location: Birmingham – Bordesley Green.We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to work at one of the largest colleges in Birmingham as a Gas Assessor.Key Responsibilities:As a Gas Assessor you will play a crucial role in assessing, mentoring and supporting students on their Gas Apprenticeships.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of students' practical and theoretical knowledge in gas-related subjects.
  • Develop and maintain assessment plans and records in accordance with college and awarding body requirements.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
  • Ensure all assessments are carried out in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the integration of assessment activities within the curriculum.
  • Participate in standardization meetings and professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during assessments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in gas engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance).
  • Assessor qualification (e.g., A1, TAQA, or equivalent).
  • Significant industry experience in gas engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of current gas industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
