Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Working Days: Tuesday - Saturday

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team in Bretby, Derby. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our lab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and procedures with precision and efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Collect, analyse, and record data from experiments and tests.
  • Ensure all laboratory protocols and safety guidelines are strictly followed.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation of findings.
  • Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment.
  • Order and manage laboratory supplies and inventory.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a scientific field is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
