We are working with an organisation that thrives on innovation and excellence in technology. We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Deployment Manager to join the team. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless and successful deployment of IT systems and applications.

As the IT Deployment Manager, you will lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of releases across various IT systems. You will work closely with IT teams, project managers, and key stakeholders to ensure the smooth deployment of new features, system updates, and patches. Your role will focus on managing the release cycle while minimising risks, ensuring quality, and aligning with business goals.

The role

  • Oversee the entire release lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating deployments across various IT environments.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and QA teams to ensure releases are executed efficiently and with minimal downtime.
  • Manage release plans, risk assessments, and implementation timelines for all releases and deployments.
  • Ensure alignment between IT releases and business requirements, tracking dependencies across systems.
  • Establish and maintain deployment strategies, ensuring that best practices are followed to maintain system stability.
  • Implement and maintain release management tools and processes, including automated deployment mechanisms.
  • Prepare and present release management reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Oversee post-deployment support, manage rollback procedures, and ensure issue resolution where necessary.
The Person
  • Proven experience as an IT Deployment Manager , IT Project Manager or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, system deployment processes, and change management.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
  • Excellent project management, coordination, and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple releases in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
