Area Sales Manager (Midlands)

  • Full time, permanent
  • ÂŁ40,000 depending on experience + 15% OTE

We are currently recruiting a motivated and ambitious Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic and professional sales team, covering the central Midlands.

Areas covered include:

  • Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire.
  • The following postal regions: ST, TF, WS, WV, DY, B, WR, CV, NN, DE, LE, NG, LN & PE

Please note: You will also attend and participate in monthly sales meetings in Welwyn Garden City

About the role:

Offering an attractive salary of 40K depending on experience, plus 15% OTE, the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in field sales. Experience within the plumbing, heating or associated sectors is desirable but not essential. You will be required to achieve your own monthly target, whilst collaborating with the wider sales team to positively influence the company sales performance.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Grow sales with established customers.
  • Identify, approach and secure new customers within your area to maximise sales routes
  • Build customer relationships to win profitable business and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the office-based sales team to fulfil customer sales and enquiries
  • Accurately record all customer data on the internal CRM system
  • Work with Barco’s product profile to maximise margins whilst meeting customers’ needs.
  • Monitor and feedback on competitor activity
  • Plan routes for the most advantageous area coverage
  • Attend and participate in monthly sales meetings in Welwyn Garden City

About you:

Personable, dynamic and professional, you will bring a proven track record in sales, showcasing exceptional sales and negotiation skills.

Your experience includes successfully building and maintaining customer relationships, underpinned by excellent communication and numerical skills.

You will also possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proficient in analysing sales and customer data, with excellent IT skills covering Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systems.
  • A proven ability to work towards personal and company KPIs, with a commitment to delivering results.
  • High level of self-motivation and organisation, with the ability to work remotely.
  • Strong team player, recognised for going the extra mile to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail and show initiative
  • Enthusiastic about continuous learning and committed to increasing product and market knowledge through ongoing training.
  • Passionate about the business and its values, embodying core attributes that drive success.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
