Certain Advantage is hiring for an Area Sales Manager based in the Midlands or South West.

This role is on a permanent basis and is predominantly remote, with travel required to clients across the Midlands and South West, circa 3 days a week.

Are you an Area Sales Manager or similar, with a background in Technical Paint, Chemicals, Manufacturing components or related products, looking for a highly autonomous and versatile role, where you will be driving new business growth, and managing key accounts for a well-established yet modern business, with strong progression potential?



The Company:

We are working with a highly reputable business which has been established for over 100 years, now experiencing growth in key markets such as Defence, Automotive and Industrial.

You will be joining a business which has recently made large investments into new facilities, and manufacturing capabilities, looking to continue their sustained growth, supplying highly technical paint and coatings to Defence, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial and Manufacturing markets.



The Role:

This role is for a dynamic Area Sales Manager, ambitious and ready to make an impact. You will be results-orientated and driven to succeed.

You will be part of the Sales team, responsible for driving new business across your region, as well as managing key accounts.

  • Travel to clients across your region, typically spending 3 days a week conducting face to face meetings with new and existing clients
  • Actively source new business opportunities within your territory, across a broad range of sectors and industries
  • Conduct product trials with clients from inception through working closely with the technical team
  • Manage new business pipeline and CRM
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions and networking events
  • Identify product improvements or new products through competitor and market analysis
  • Prepare and present proposals


The Individual:

  • Area Sales Manager or similar
  • Either experience with technical paint or coatings, or similar experience such as Chemicals, or broader manufacturing
  • Full Driving License
