Area to be covered: Midlands & North (occasional visit to the South)Remuneration: £50,000 + commission circa £20,000 Benefits: hybrid company car & full comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the Business Development Manager - Fire, Smoke & Acoustic Seals will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a manufactured range of fire, smoke & acoustic seals for doors
  • Dealing with both new build and refurbishment projects
  • Majority of your time will be spent selling to door manufacturers, fabricators, joinery contractors, fire door manufacturers, interior fit out contractors, glass processors and distributors
  • Remaining smaller portion of your time will be spent generating specifications with architects, large interior fit out contractors and specifiers (want to get into this market)
  • Taking over a territory currently achieving around £1m turnover per annum
  • Dealing with wide range of order values from £5 - £500k
  • Majority of your time will be spent generating new business

The ideal applicant will be Business Development Manager - Fire, Smoke & Acoustic Seals with

  • Must have field sales experience in a related industry for example: fire rated systems, glass, glazing, windows, doors, timber, glass and joinery
  • Ideally have technical understanding and experience in glass, timber, fire door and joinery market
  • Ideally have experience of generating specifications
  • Ideally have dealt with joinery contractors, fire door manufacturers, interior fit out contractors and glass processors (not essential)
  • Team player yet able to work autonomously
  • Customer service orientated, technical, sociable personality
  • Comfortable with entertaining clients
