Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager

Monday - Friday: 9.00AM - 5.00PM

Annual Salary £40,000 - £50,000 plus car & bonus

Day to Day Duties

  • As a Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager, you will focus on developing new domestic and international clients, while meeting revenue targets within a specific sales territory. You will deliver comprehensive transportation solutions, analysing customer needs to create effective logistics strategies, all while ensuring a commitment to service excellence. In addition, you'll maintain existing business while continuously prospecting for new opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or a minimum of 5 year's relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in transportation sales and business development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage appointments and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Active participation in industry-related organisations.
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a track record of sales success.

Desirable Experience

  • Existing client base and a well-established network of industry contacts.
