Business Development Manager

Midlands area

Up to £55k per annum + £6k car allowance + fantastic bonus scheme

Our client is a highly successful, financial services provider within the Mortgage and Savings space. This is a fantastic opportunity for a relationship focussed, business development individual to join their sales team, developing relationships with mortgage intermediaries to ensure the promotion of their mortgage and related products.

The role is to cover the Midlands, which will include the following locations: Lincoln, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Northampton, Walsall, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Coventry and Oxford. Due to the field-based nature of the position, you will need to be located in or close to these areas and be able to travel to all. Our clients head office is in Surrey, and you will be required to attend the office quarterly, for 2 nights mid week, for exec meetings and team building.

Duties of the Business Development Manager will include:

  • Maintain and develop business relationships with existing mortgage intermediaries and Packagers (if applicable) across the defined geographical area (to be notified), in order to increase both the quantity and quality of enquiries and applications submitted to the organisation.
  • Build a network of new mortgage intermediaries within the defined geographical area to ensure that they are introducing a significant flow of applications on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with the Intermediary desk (New Business Team), Compliance and Loans Underwriting teams to ensure that specific cases are handled smoothly through the application process.
  • Represent the organisation at any relevant industry events in order to promote the organisation and its products, including exhibitions, seminars, awards ceremonies as required.

The successful individual will possess:

  • Previous business development experience within the mortgage sector
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Be situation within the desired patch area
