What’s in it for you?

  • Work hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus uncapped commission

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Engage with potential clients over the phone and in person to identify potential business opportunities and drive business growth
  • Target suppliers and introducers to support with prospective funding solutions
  • Nurture and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, suppliers, dealers, funders, and introducers
  • Offer tailored finance solutions for new and existing clients, ensuring they align with clients' financial situations and are profitable for the company
  • Develop and implement business development strategies that increase the company's portfolio
  • Collaborate with the wider sales and marketing team to drive brand awareness and generate leads
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of finance agreements, ensuring all agreements are compliant with risk management and regulatory requirements
  • Keep up to date with industry news and maintain a good awareness of FCS regulations and fraud prevention processes
  • Maintain the CRM system, ensuring all sales activity is recorded and client information is accurate
  • Create and provide reports on sales activity, pipeline, and performance

Business Development Manager Skills and Experience:

  • Previous sales and business development experience gained within the finance industry, with a particular focus on asset finance
  • Track record of successfully developing business and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
  • Demonstrates excellent finance sector knowledge and is confident negotiating complex financing deals
  • Superb communication skills, able to foster and maintain close-knit relationships in person and over the phone and present financial solutions clearly
  • Solutions-focused, able to confidently address challenges and overcome objections
  • Commercially aware and business-minded, always keeping profitability in mind
  • Driven and ambitious with a desire to succeed and go above and beyond
  • Target-orientated, focused on achieving and exceeding targets and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment
