Area to be covered: North & Midlands ideally based Midlands

Remuneration: £55,000 neg. + 15% Bonus

The role of the Business Development Manager Precast Piling House Foundations will involve:

  • Field sales role selling our clients Precast Piling, Steel Piling, Precast House Foundations and Precast Ground Beams
  • Selling into predominantly national housebuilders, but also regional developers & commercial builders and main contractors
  • 70% of your time new business development, 30% of your time developing existing housebuilder projects and accounts on patch
  • Inheriting an area with a turnover of circa £5m
  • Expected to close 19/20 contracts per annum initially
  • Tasked with growing the area, our client has recently opening a new £2.5m factory which has the capacity to double production
  • Average project sizes are circa £250,000 (typically rigs on site for 10 weeks) can be £1m+
  • Enquiry to order circa 3 months
  • Focus of the role will be on business development, dedicated sales administration support
  • 10-12 customer visits per week
  • Spending on average 4 days on the road with 1 day working from head office in Midlands until established in role

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager Precast Piling House Foundations experience with:

Ideally sold into national housebuilders or regional housing developers, at the very least must understand how the housebuilders operate

Open to most construction field sales backgrounds

Specific knowledge of Precast Piling, Steel Piling, Precast House Foundations and Precast Ground Beams is not essential as product training will be provided

Energetic with can-do mind set

New business development skills

Technical competent and strong communicator

Ideally some civil engineering qualifications

Self-starter, hit the ground running mentality individual and comfortable with autonomy
