The Role:
We are looking for a customer-centric After Sales Manager with proven experience in client-facing roles and a background in selling to the manufacturing or engineering sectors.

This role requires someone with a proactive and results-driven mindset who can build and maintain strong relationships with customers, identify opportunities for growth, and lead by example. You will play a critical role in driving after-sales service growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed net income sales targets by promoting service contracts, calibrations, and repair services to existing and new clients within your territory.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term customer relationships, acting as the key point of contact for all after-sales service needs and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Service Sales Growth: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the tooling, manufacturing, and engineering sectors to drive service sales growth.
  • Site Visits & Client Consultations: Conduct regular site visits to understand client needs, assess their operations, and recommend tailored service solutions that add value and enhance performance.
  • Key Account Management: Take ownership of key customer accounts, ensuring they receive outstanding service and support to maintain and expand business relationships.
  • Collaborative Sales Efforts: Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and drive collaborative business growth.
  • Sales Campaigns & Promotions: Collaborate with the wider service sales team to develop and execute targeted sales campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Distribution Partnerships: Strengthen relationships with distribution partners to maximize service sales opportunities and improve market reach.
  • Sales Reporting & Pipeline Management: Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions using business platforms, and provide regular reports to track progress and business performance.
  • Customer Quotations: Prepare and deliver professional and accurate quotations to customers in a timely manner, reflecting the scope of work and ensuring competitive pricing.
  • Strategic Business Development: Contribute to the development of the overall UK service offering, providing feedback and insights based on customer interactions and market trends.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Proven track record in customer-facing sales within the manufacturing or engineering sectors.
    • Experience managing key accounts and achieving sales targets through exceptional customer service and proactive sales strategies.
    • Familiarity with selling service contracts, calibrations, and repair services.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on meeting customer needs through tailored service solutions.
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple accounts and projects.
    • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to driving business growth.
  • Qualifications:
    • Experience in sales within the tooling, manufacturing, or engineering sectors is essential.
    • Full UK driving license is required due to the regional travel involved in the role.
