Head of Business Development - Responsibilities & Requirements

  • A strong understanding of contract catering within the education sector is a must for this role
  • Engage with current and prospective clients
  • Responsible for proactively identifying opportunities and building a pipeline in line with agreed targets
  • Retaining strong, positive client relationships
  • A consistent focus on delivering excellent customer service
  • Maximise retention and growth opportunities to achieve or exceed the agreed annual sales targets
  • Attending site visits and client meetings as required to gain an insight and understanding into requirements
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Working closely with the Bid Manager to positively impact the business moving forward
  • Networking and researching all invites to tender working closely with different areas of the business
  • Pride and ambition to continually drive the business forward and live its values
  • Delivering effective mobilisation of contract catering contracts and coordinating with relevant support functions
