Job Title: Head of Public Sector SalesLocation: Hybrid

Role Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Public Sector Sales to lead our go-to-market and sales initiatives, with a focus on expanding our market presence within the Public Sector, especially Central Government. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technology sales, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the Public Sector landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic go-to-market and sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the Public Sector.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in government agencies and departments.
  • Foster and manage strategic partnerships with large System Integrators (SIs) and other Public Sector partners to secure new business.
  • Navigate Public Sector procurement processes and regulations effectively to win new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment with market needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate the value proposition of the company's technology solutions through persuasive proposals and presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for marketing campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will enhance sales growth.
  • Leverage market knowledge to identify the company's unique selling propositions
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Manage the Public Sector sales team and resources to drive profitable growth.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify up sell opportunities.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience successfully selling to the Public Sector, particularly Central Government.
  • Deep understanding of Public Sector bid and procurement frameworks.
  • Proven success in selling technology solutions within the Public Sector environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading sales teams, driving them to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of Public Sector procurement policies, processes, and frameworks.
  • Ability to manage the entire sales cycle, from planning to close.
  • Track record of developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Existing relationships within key government agencies are highly desirable.
  • Experience in high-growth technology environments.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales management tools for forecasting and tracking.
