Location: Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office)

Role Overview: To raise awareness and perception amongst international and national B2B audiences of the West Midlands as a desirable location for investment; leveraging a full mix of marketing channels to promote our proposition and support lead generation.


Main Responsibilities and Key Activities:

Create and manage marketing campaigns.

  • Convey key differentiators of our sector propositions to national and international B2B investor audiences.
  • Curate content across thought leadership, web, collateral, and social channels.
  • Develop content for a coordinated programme of events and webinars across key international markets to support the region's proposition.
  • Manage the identification and delivery of film and photography of key assets and opinion formers.
  • Identify opportunities for the celebration of the region, its businesses, and sector credentials; inform the development of the region's sector narrative.
  • Work with marketing and communications colleagues on programme activities and support the development of case studies, media comments, and briefings.
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines of all outputs.
  • Support BD colleagues on the engagement of key firms and on inward investment lead generation.
  • Work with partner organisations on the co-creation of activations.
  • When required, support across the business on broader marketing initiatives.
  • Work across the West Midlands region and nationally with possible international travel.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sector Marketing, marketing and communications colleagues, and Business Attraction and Capital Investment teams.
  • Maintain key relationships with business intermediaries; local, national, and international industry sector and government bodies; public and private sector partners across the West Midlands.
