National Sales Manager - £50-55,000 Base + £8,000 Car Allowance + Huge OTE + Private Medical + Benefits!

The Company

Our client are a market leader who have an excellent brand reputation and, due to recent growth , they have an opportunity for someone to join one of their business units as an National Sales Manager.

You will be working for a global manufacturer who working on high value projects.

The Role

Working remotely and covering a national patch, The National Sales Manager will develop markets and maximise sales for products in the UK & Ireland. They will target local authorities, transport authorities, distributers and merchants. To boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. The role will progress to include Team Leader responsibility for Regional Sales Managers.

Main Duties Include:

  • Proactively identify opportunities for products on projects and schemes at an early stage in order to become the preferred/specified product/supplier
  • To develop close, long-term relationships with key industry professionals including transport authorities, architects, rail authorities and distributors etc. to boost product awareness and sales.
  • Accurate monthly sales forecasts by product
  • Present products and articulate their benefits to potential clients, trade authorities highways agencies etc
  • Identify opportunities and develop a strategy to exploit them, developing new market segments for our range of products.
  • Support existing customers with technical queries, product selection, application
  • Team leadership, lead the RSMs while driving a culture that emphasizes teamwork, proactive lead generation and aggressive pursuit of sales.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Customer Field Support departments to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Gather customer and competitor information
  • Maintain and keep current CRM system for the region
  • Coordinate with Customer Service on delivery and order issues
  • Complete and submit reports regarding customer visits, team performance and other relevant activities promptly and accurately.

What We Are Looking ForThe National Sales Manager should be a proven field sales professional. Capable of motivating a team as well as leading from the front with business development activities. The successful candidate should have/be:

  • Field sales experience - identifying potential; increasing market share; creating new customers; supporting existing customers; key account management; improving margins
  • Previous experience of successfully managing sales teams and sales budgets/targets.
  • Business development skills
  • Effective and positive leadership skills with ability to motivate people.
  • Computer literate - proficient in the use of computer software applications and databases.
  • Presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven commercial growth in current and previous roles with the ability to spot opportunities for revenue generation
  • Experience working with different customer profiles and willingness to travel nationally.
