For one of our Clients, we are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Application/ Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Conveyor industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Engineering, Sales experience, and the ability to provide technical advice to Clients.

This role is crucial in driving their sales growth while ensuring customer satisfaction through tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to clients regarding conveyor systems and solutions. Assist in the selection of products and configurations based on customer requirements.
  • Sales Development: Identify new business opportunities and actively pursue leads to expand the customer base. Engage with existing clients to maintain relationships and upsell services.
  • Client Consultation: Conduct site visits and assessments to understand client needs; Present tailored conveyor solutions that meet their operational requirements.
  • Proposal Preparation: Develop and deliver compelling technical proposals, including specifications, cost estimates, and timelines.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions and customer satisfaction.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on product features and benefits.

Requirements:

  • Education:HNC/ HND/ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Sales or Applications Engineering within the conveyor or material handling industry
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of conveyor systems, automation, and material handling solutions; Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record in sales, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions for clients.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK as needed.
