HAYS are delighted to be working with one of our clients headquartered in the West Midlands to recruit for a Senior Contract Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be the strategic support role to the Head of the Contract Management team and will sit within the IT and Digital category, with responsibility for the proactive contract and commercial management of digital and technology contracts and suppliers, working closely with the procurement team to manage the transition from tendering to contract management, performance review and re-negotiation.

This permanent vacancy comes with a salary of between £55,000-60,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience), a hybrid working pattern and a generous benefits package.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Leadership of the Contract Management Team.
  • Work within the team and senior stakeholders on contract and commercial management to ensure agreed-upon budget compliance.
  • Coordinate and lead digital, data and technology contracts and commercial management activities, managing the portfolio of suppliers.
  • Provide business case assurance and validation of contracts and commercial initiatives, as well as management of the contract life cycle.
  • Provision of detailed reports appraising the status of digital, data and technology contracts to Head of level.
  • Responsible for obligation tracking, management, and reporting in addition to managing suppliers' performance.
  • Support Contract Mobilisation activities.
  • Support the delivery of savings against the digital, data and technology budget in accordance with targets.
  • Responsible for delivering savings opportunities across the portfolio and delivering value for money and promoting social value.
  • Responsible for undertaking appraisal, personal development, and performance; and managing employee relations and issues.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience and detailed knowledge of contract and performance management.
  • Considerable experience in policy development, implementation, delivery, and monitoring. Extensive experience in managing significant or multidisciplinary contracts.
  • Proven track record of providing commercial, technical and contractual advice to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Significant communication, influencing and negotiation skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to motivate and support team members.
  • Knowledge and Experience in Digital, and technology contract management platforms e.g., ServiceNow, In-Tend and Oracle or equivalent.
  • WCC, CIPS or MCIPS qualifications would be desirable.
