This is an exciting career opportunity for a talented Midlands-based Area Sales Manager to join a leading automation solutions provider! In this role, you'll bridge the gap between cutting-edge automation technology and customer needs. You'll develop solutions, manage accounts, and drive sales growth across the Southern territory.
Responsibilities:
- Unearth New Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the company's territory, expanding their reach.
- Grow Existing Accounts: Manage and develop strong relationships with current customers, ensuring their continued success with the company's solutions.
- Become the Customer's Hero: Provide exceptional technical and engineering support to customers, understanding their needs and proposing winning solutions.
- Collaboration is Key: Work closely with the company's internal teams (design, assembly, marketing) to deliver optimal solutions for each customer.
- Liaison and Launchpad: Act as a bridge between customers and engineers, facilitating new business opportunities and product launches.
- Track and Report: Develop and present reports that track customer progress against goals and performance plans.
- The Customer Advocate: Work directly with customers to gather project information and ensure successful delivery and implementation.
- Technical Expertise & Sales Savvy: Demonstrate a deep understanding of automation components, robotics accessories, and complete end-of-arm tooling solutions. Translate this knowledge into effective sales presentations that showcase the value of the company's products and services.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical, mechatronics, or robotics engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of automation components, robotics accessories, and end-of-arm tooling solutions.
- Proven sales experience with a focus on delivering solutions based on customer needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for organization.
- Impeccable integrity, influencing skills, and top-notch negotiation abilities.
- A passion for customer service and the ability to connect with all levels within an organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
