Technical Sales Manager

Location: National role (Flexible on location)

Salary: To £80,000 + car/allowance + commission + benefits

Job Purpose:

As a Technical Sales Manager in the Electronic Security sector, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing a team focused on delivering advanced security solutions and services.

This role involves meeting sales targets, developing strategic sales plans, and overseeing the sale of products and services such as CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Perimeter Fencing, and other security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Management:

Achieve and exceed sales targets for the Electronic Security division, including revenue, profit, and market share goals.

Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their security needs and providing tailored solutions.

Team Leadership:

Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, ensuring they meet their individual sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the division.

Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management.

Conduct regular performance reviews, setting clear objectives and providing feedback for continuous improvement.

Product Sales:

Lead the sales of electronic security products, including but not limited to CCTV systems, Access Control solutions, Intruder Alarms, and Perimeter Fencing.

Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in the security industry and incorporate them into sales pitches and strategies.

Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.

Oversee the quality of tenders ensuring they match the client requirements whilst being financially viable for the business.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

Develop and execute sales campaigns and promotional activities to boost product visibility and sales.

Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

Customer Engagement:

Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, handling complex negotiations and resolving any issues that arise.

Organize and attend industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to promote the companys products and services.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in a sales management role within the Electronic Security industry.

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Experience managing and leading a sales team, with a focus on electronic security solutions.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, and Perimeter Security products.

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
