Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and cultivate assigned customer portfolio, maintaining business relationships and increasing sales revenue to meet set annual targets within allocated sales margin.
  • Constantly seek and develop New Business sales in allocated area.
  • To manage allocated SMS business, with a view to retain and grow accounts.
  • Manage and maintain customer portfolio records on CRM system ensuring all records are kept current.
  • Monitor sales performance and activity levels with the rest of the Sales Team and produce monthly reports detailing key result areas. Providing updates at the monthly SMT meetings.
  • To negotiate terms of sales and agreements and closing sales with customers.
  • To provide customers with detailed, accurate quotations and cost calculations, contracts and other customer related documentation as required.
  • To set up and maintain bar coding requirements and labels as required.
  • To identify any stock issues in respect of sales orders process to the GM/MD.
  • To produce daily sales picking lists and delivery notes.
  • Customer visits to build and grow relationships with key members of the purchasing teams.
  • To ensure that all documentation is as per the sales processes
  • To foster close working relationships with associated departments; sales, purchasing, administration, warehouse and Senior Management Team.
  • To ensure customer requirements and expectations are met.
  • To keep abreast of competitor intelligence and impart to relevant parties.
  • To share ideas to enhance/improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Sales operation with the Senior Management Team.
  • To carry out any reasonable task requested by the General Manager.
  • To ensure performance is in accordance with all standards help by the group (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 & AS9120B)

Person Specification:

  • Proven track record in customer account management.
  • Sound commercial skills with a dynamic personality, coupled with an outstanding work ethic and driven to exceed expectation.
  • High standard of IT literacy (particularly Word and Excel), good standard of
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively; focusing on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capability to follow instructions, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines whilst maintaining an exceptionally high standard of work.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and motivational skills & able to work on own initiative.
  • Motivated and self-starter with high energy flexibility and adaptability, combined with the ability to work as a team as well as individually.
  • Driven by a desire to make a difference and able to demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent customer focus, service skills and closing sales negotiations.
  • Full clean driving licence.
