An Associate Director Level Structural Engineer is sought to join this multi-disciplinary practice located in Birmingham. Do you consider yourself to be talented and ambitious with aspirations to be a leader? If so, we would like to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key player within a financially sound and well-established business. You should have a good working knowledge of design and construction in a range of materials, from reinforced concrete to structural steelwork, masonry and timber.

You should be a pro-active Chartered Structural Engineer, keen to join a highly motivated, ambitious, and professional team. You will be working on a variety of building and engineering projects, both new build, refurbishment of existing buildings and residential sector.

The role will most likely suit a candidate from a small or medium sized company background. You should be a hands-on design engineer and excellent manager, good with clients, skilled at report writing and have excellent technical expertise.

  • Managing a team of Engineers and Technicians,
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior members of staff,
  • Attendance at client and design team meetings,
  • Preparation of fee proposals and support on major bids, Involvement in business development activities,
  • MEng in civil or structural engineering,
  • A Chartered engineer
  • A minimum of 10 years' structural engineering design experience
