A reputable medium-sized consultancy specialising in leisure, retail, and public sector projects is seeking an experienced BSA 2022 Principal Designer to join their team in the Midlands.

The successful BSA 2022 Principal Designer will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 across a diverse portfolio of projects.

The successful BSA 2022 Principal Designer will

  • Provide expert advice on health and safety and Building Safety Act 2022 compliance to clients, designers, and contractors.
  • Manage the pre-construction phase, including the preparation of pre-construction information and design risk assessments.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops on CDM and Building Safety Act 2022 requirements.
  • Work on a variety of projects in the leisure, retail, and public sectors, ensuring all projects comply with the latest safety regulations.
  • Promote best practices in design risk management and safety compliance.

To be considered for the role of BSA 2022 Principal Designer, candidates should have

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment.
  • A strong background in construction design and management, with specific experience in delivering Principal Designer services under the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body, such as IOSH or APS.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
